I am a registered Nurse. I have been working for the last 33 years at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland primarily caring for children with cancer and blood disorders. I have been a staunch pro vaccine advocate in Sacramento.

I am a member and leader of the California Nurses Association. I serve as a Delegate to the Alameda County Central Labor Council.

I have been an appointee to the Berkeley Commission on Labor since 2013. While serving we successfully raised the minimum wage for all of Berkeley.

I have been elected to serve in the CA Democratic Party as an Assembly Delegate   since 2008 in Assembly District 15 and the Eboard representative since 2015.

As a working nurse and a union activist I have an important perspective when it comes to the current state of healthcare delivery in CA. I am on the ground at Children’s dealing with issues of mental health, drug addiction, immigrants’ rights, public health concerns, poverty and homelessness, and so many other issues my patients face daily.
